Just to close off my love affair with the King’s Speech, I have to say that I had another opportunity to see the movie and read the book. Both were just as compelling the second time around as the first. I watched it with my hubby who knows the story. I must say it is inspiring all over again. Colin firth is his own man here and looking very kingly. He looks nothing like George VI but has his own majesty. I am also happy to say, I missed nothing the first time around because the story is so well crafted and presented. This will be my last post on this movie but not the last on Colin Firth, I hope. He is delicious.

Vindication

Oh how lovely. Now I am delighted with the outcome of the Academy nominations. 12, count em, 12 nods for my, so far, favourite! I love that guy, Colin Firth, more and more every day.
So even when I thinking like the big guys and swimming with them, in reality I was on a surf board, well ahead.
What lovely way to end my night work and start a new day.

I feel like I am on a roll, although it’s not about me. Colin Firth won the Golden Globe! Poor Johnny Depp. He at least deserved a better fate but I suppose everyone can’t win. I am happy about the outcome. Mr Firth’s speech was lovely and inclusive. Keeping my fingers crossed for future awards. Now I feel like I am swimming with the big guys.
